(3) Branding "Platformation"

Project Overview

We are participating in a project to develop a shared reporting platform for Canadian funders and grantees. The portal would allow give grantees (like us) a spot to add our program goals and objectives, financial information etc in a format that allows for funders and other community members to run reports as they need (like United Way). The ultimate goal is to raise the accountability and reporting bar.

The three dimensions that we are mashing together include:

Dimension 1: Repository/platform
Dimension 2: Information/knowledge/data
Dimension 3: Planning, administration and reporting

Timing:

In October 2009, we will be formally inviting experts from the field to participate in a 2 hour brain storming session to discuss the pros and cons of changing names. If new options bubble to the top, then exploring the branding and communication that would be needed to support a change.

By December 2009 we hope to have 1 or 2 strong options to present to the board for approval.
