Overall Awareness and Media StrategyThere are six ways that we are developing to spread the word about the Timeraiser and Civic Footprint. These are: - Neighbourhood Campaigns
- Corporate Outreach/Ambassador Program
- Traditional Media (TV, Radio, Newspapers)
- Being where people are: Social Media
- Being where people are: Event Presence
- Work of Mouth and Networking
The following table lists our current media plan strategy. And the diagram below illustrates our on-line strategy. Awareness Plan - Media Campaign . On-Line Communications Map
The following diagram provides an overview of our online and social media communication strategy. This strategy is coordinated with the IT tools we selected to enable how we communicate to the masses. Essentially, we are trying to generate content that is published to on-line places that receive lots of traffic. The rate at which existing social media tools (e.g. blogs) are integrating with new social media tools (e.g. twitter) is providing insight that we want to be where people are.
At the moment, our on-line communication strategy is coordinating communication via Facebook Connect APIs. Our blog will act as the central hub of the content, connect to Facebook, and Facebook will connect to other tools. If a new tool comes along and kicks Facebook off its crown, then our integrated workflow, communication methodology and IT systems makes it easy to shift as the social networking landscape does.
Furthermore, this portal gives anyone in the world access to our approach, considerations and how to implement this themselves. It is part of our goal to share what we know and work with other like-minded organizations that want to solve complex problems. We will be updating the communications map as our strategy changes.
